Location

Makena Estate sits in Gariama location, Rung’eto sub location, Kirinyaga County about 20 km from Embu town. Resting on the fertile slopes of Mt. Kenya, the farm benefits from the rich volcanic soils and cool climate of Kenya’s Central Province.

Processing

• Wet processing with clean, recirculated river water, followed by sun-drying.

• Final parchment delivered to Central Kenya Coffee Millers in Karatina, Nyeri County for secondary processing.
