The Local - Everyday Espresso
Brown sugar · Praline · Milk chocolate
The Local is our everyday espresso: sweet, full-bodied and easy to drink. It is built to carry its flavour through milk while remaining balanced and satisfying as a straight espresso or long black.
A 50/50 blend of natural Brazil and washed Colombia brings together deep sweetness, rounded body and a gentle lift of fruit.
What's in the blend
50% Brazil - Poços de Caldas, Minas Gerais - Natural
Grown at 1,000-1,300 metres in the volcanic landscape of Poços de Caldas. The region's high altitude, fertile volcanic soil and mountain terrain make it a long-established home for specialty coffee. This natural component brings brown sugar, praline and a generous, rounded body.
50% Colombia - El Meridiano A Grade, Tolima - Washed
Produced by approximately 50 smallholder farmers around Herrera in Rioblanco, at 1,500-1,900 metres. This washed Caturra adds toffee, red berries and a touch of orange, lifting the blend and keeping the finish clean.
In the cup
Brown sugar and praline sweetness first, milk chocolate through the middle, then a gentle red-fruit lift and soft orange brightness. Full flavoured and smooth, with enough body for milk and enough clarity to enjoy black.
